Using Extended Events for Auditing

Speaker: H. Ross Reed, SR Database Administrator 1952

Summary: One year ago I was asked by my manager “How do we I prove to the auditors that we aren’t abusing our privileges as DBA’s”. What do we have available to keep an eye on us? Report on not just what we change, but what are we reading? Ross Reed will present on Extended Events for Auditing and why he arrived at using that tool for auditing.

About H. Ross: Ross Reed is a Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator for The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). He has 20 years of experience in SQL Server product, first as a database developer and then as a DBA. Ross is also the co-chapter leader of Chicago SQL Server user group.
